Whole30: Day Three

I try to write honestly and be real, and honestly I really don’t feel like writing today. I always post about the day before. So while I’m writing about day three, I’m actually on day four, and day four is kicking my butt. I feel so far out and trippy to be honest that I’m entirely sure how to explain. I guess you could label it an out of body experience, but more on that tomorrow.

All this to say, day four is affecting my ability to write about day three.

Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Probably cause I didn’t have to cook it, the hubby did. I always think food I didn’t have to make tastes better 🙂

He simply scrambled some eggs and sliced an avocado, then drizzled some salsa on top. Mmm!

It kept me full until noon and I didn’t feel hungry at all.

Can we just take a moment and discuss my food pictures? They’re terrible, aren’t they? Again, I’m just trying to keep it real. No food staging here. Plus, I got 3 kids under 5 and I’m lucky to just snapshot quickly on my phone. Especially if I want to have time to eat too. So learn to deal with the craptastic photos. I ain’t getting paid for this ya know! 😉

Speaking of terrible pictures, here’s what we had for lunch. Leftover taco salad with diced sweet potatoes. I know you’re thinking “Ewww!”, but don’t knock it until you try it. Those little sweet potatoes elevated this salad, like Willy Wonka and his glass elevator.

There’s usually a good six hours between lunch and dinner around here, so I had a banana and some raisins for a snack but that was it. Compared to day one and two, that’s nothing! My cravings have already started to diminish and I don’t feel the need to snack as much. That’s really amazing for just THREE days!

I need to take a moment of silence for our next meal of the day. It was really, and truly amazing.

Ok, moment’s up! For dinner there were these amazing salmon burgers! Y’all, I could have eaten all of them. We also had broccoli slaw, but I used this recipe for the dressing, I cut the sugar and I MADE the mayo.

Let me say that again.

I MADE MAYO!

It was out of this world and I thought I didn’t like mayonnaise! My mind has forever been changed.  I used this Whole30 recipe for mayo.  Believe it or not, you don’t need a degree from Le Cordon Bleu or be Julia Child to make it. If I can do it, so can you!

Oh yea, here’s another wicked awful picture.

Ok, well I’m signing off. If you have any questions about Whole30 or anything, feel free to comment below and ask! I’ll try and answer them best I can. I also accept memes at any time. I’m sort of a collector 😛

Peace, love, and chicken grease,
